Multi IR was founded in 2007 and is a national key specialized and new "little giant" enterprise specializing in infrared optoelectronic sensing technology, integrating research and development, production, and sales. Its business covers infrared feature sensitive components, industrial grade high-precision infrared sensors, consumer grade infrared sensing modules, and intelligent sensing products. It has established a public technical service platform for the infrared sensing industry of the Ministry of Science and Technology and is the first Chinese member of the German Association for Sensing and Measurement Technology (AMA). It is also the vice chairman unit of the China Sensor and Internet of Things Industry Alliance and a key commendation unit of the State Council.

The company is headquartered in Hangzhou and has two major production bases in Hangzhou and Shenzhen. It also has five global marketing and R&D centers in the United States (Washington), Canada (Toronto), Germany (Stuttgart), Japan (Tokyo), and South Korea (Seoul). Its customer base covers multiple fields such as aerospace, medical, industrial, consumer electronics, smart home, fire protection, and security. Its products have been sold in more than 150 countries and regions.

Multi IR has accumulated nearly 20 years of experience in infrared technology and continues to maintain an international leading position in the research and technological innovation of infrared optical feature sensitive component products. It is the leading unit in formulating the national industry standard (JB/T12933-2016<>). Its intelligent sensing module has independently developed software algorithms and automatic calibration technology, achieving significant breakthroughs in product accuracy and stability. It has successively undertaken a number of national R&D projects, including the national key R&D plan (the original 863) project (key technologies and applications of wireless infrared high-temperature micro/nano sensors), the 2022 Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (industrial Internet multi-dimensional sensor terminals and intelligent analysis systems), and has made many technological innovation achievements, and many scientific research achievements have been widely applied nationwide.

Multi IR adheres to the path of industrial development through technological innovation, attaches great importance to product quality and reputation, and has taken the lead in passing ISO9001 quality management system certification, ISO14001 environmental management system, ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system, GB/T29490 enterprise intellectual property management system certification in the industry.
